I brought my 1995 200SX SE-R to the shop (Stevens Creek Nissan), because it was making a high-pitched whining noise. It turned out to be a rather expensive service, because the alternator was replaced and also a few motor mounts and drive belts. It ended up being almost $1500, which makes me entertain the idea of getting a new car.
